Nic’s Pools is a premier custom pool builder, delivering luxury and expertise to discerning homeowners and businesses. Behind every stunning project is Nic Oliva, whose career is built on over 20 years of hands-on experience in the pool industry.
From the Ground Up: Nic’s Journey
Nic began in the construction industry when he was 17, working for a friend of his father’s mixing concrete for only $40 a day. He put in hard labor—learning the ins and outs of every aspect of pool construction, from tile and coping work to plumbing and swimming pools, along with building footers and an array of other service work.
Nic’s dedication and passion for craftsmanship led him to become a certified subcontractor. He spent years refining his skills on a vast range of job sites, gaining an intimate understanding of what it takes to bring a pool from blueprint to reality.
Transition to Sales and Design
After mastering the technical side of pool building, Nic transitioned into sales and 3D pool design, combining his deep industry knowledge with a talent for creating tailored, high-end designs.
His experience in every stage of pool building, from concept to completion, eventually led to a leadership role in sales management. With this extensive background, Nic earned his state contractor’s license, allowing him to offer a full-service experience to clients through Nic’s Pools.
Nic knows pool construction inside and out—not from behind a desk, but by working directly in the field throughout his career, handling the planning, tools and materials that go into building a top-tier pool customized to the client’s exact needs.

Initial Consultation & Design Wishlist
Reach out to Nic or Alex to schedule a design consultation. We’ll meet at your home, discuss your ideas, and understand your needs and wishlist for your dream pool and outdoor space.

Custom 3D Design Creation
Using state-of-the-art software, we create a detailed 3D pool design tailored specifically to your vision, property layout, and preferences.

Permitting Process
Once you’re happy with the design, we handle all the necessary permits in-house, streamlining the process for you.

Construction Begins
As soon as permits are approved, our team will meet with you one more time to finalize everything, and then start building your pool, with Nic personally overseeing the project to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Pool Completion & Pool School
Upon completion, we provide a full walk-through of your pool and its features, teaching you how to operate and maintain everything. We’re always available for further support for any of your pool needs.
